The 44th Vuelta Ciclista a la Región de Murcia - Costa Cálida - Gran Premio Primafrio already has a date reserved in the 2024 calendar of the International Cycling Union (UCI). It will be held next Saturday, February 10th. And, one more year, it will bring together the great teams of the international peloton.
It will be the first day of competition of the Triptych of the South, taking place before the Clásica de Almería and the Clásica de Jaén - Paraíso Interior, which will be held the following two days.
In 2023, the race, held between San Javier and Parque Torres of Cartagena, was won by Ben Turner for Ineos - Grenadiers, ahead of Simon Clarke and Jordi Meeus. The British cyclist thus achieved his first victory as a professional cyclist.
Once more, the Vuelta Ciclista a la Región de Murcia is placed in the beginning of theseason. The international peloton will arrive at the Region after the Tour Down Under, Vuelta a la Comunitat Valenciana and Challenge de Mallorca.
