- Paco Guzmán, General Director of the Vuelta, has confirmed that the organization has asked the UCI to extend to 3 days
This Thursday, February 22nd, a ceremony was held in which the Club Organizador de Carreras Ciclistas, organizer of the Vuelta Ciclista a la Región de Murcia - Costa Cálida - Gran Premio Primafrio, thanked the Spanish State Security Forces for the work carried out during the 44th edition of the race.
The event was held at the Government Delegation of Murcia at 11:00. It was attended by Ms. Mariola Guevara, Delegate of the Government of Spain in the Region of Murcia, Virginia Jerez, Provincial Director of Traffic, Manuel Callejas, Commander of the Civil Guard, Antonio José Gil, Regional Chief of Operations of the C.N. P, José Javier Morote, Head of the Provincial Brigade of Citizen Security of the C.N.P, and Sara Díaz, Head of External Relations of Primafrio, and Paco Guzmán, General Manager of the Vuelta Ciclista a la Región de Murcia - Costa Cálida - Gran Premio Primafrio.
In the ceremony we have shown our recognition to the work done by the Government Delegation in the Vuelta Ciclista a la Región de Murcia together with the Provincial Traffic Department, the Guardia Civil, the Traffic Sector of the Guardia Civil and the Policía Nacional during this edition, which took place last February 10th between the headquarters of Primafrio, main sponsor of the race, and the Gran Vía de Murcia.
A well-deserved appreciation for a work that has allowed for the 44th consecutive time out. One of the most difficult editions, which thanks to the joint effort of the organization with the institutions could be held without incident. We have delivered a trophy and Gobik jerseys of the various classifications of this Vuelta Ciclista a la Región de Murcia - Costa Cálida - Gran Premio Primafrio.
Paco Guzmán also referred to the 2025 edition, and confirmed that the organization has asked the UCI to extend the Tour to 3 days.
